February 2017

Welcome to the month of love in the Desert!

Whether you love the romance of Valentine's Day, or are in love with Modern Architecture - or both - Palm Springs and the Desert Resort Cities provides a host of opportunities to spend a quiet evening relaxing or a night on the town. February is a full swing month of activities including the ever-growing Modernism Week, plenty of golf, polo, and tennis events, as well as fantastic black-tie events for area charities.

I hope the month of love finds you in high spirits, with a happy heart. As always, I want to let you know of what's going on in throughout the Coachella Valley, and offer you the chance to get to know more about the architecture, real estate, and events you could enjoy every day living here.

If I can be of service, please let me know. Whether you are looking to buy or sell, I can offer the highest levels in real estate expertise and professionalism. Please contact me, and allow me to help guide you through that process.

Resurgence in Polynesia

When soldiers returned to the United States after World War II, they brought home stories about life in the South Seas. Best-selling books such as Kon-Tiki by Thor Heyerdahl and Tales of the South Pacific by James A. Michener heightened interest in all things tropical.

Tiki as architecture is a fanciful design that incorporates Polynesian themes. The word tiki refers to large wood and stone sculptures and carvings found in the Polynesian islands. Tiki buildings are often decorated with imitation Tiki forms, totems, and other romanticized details borrowed from the South Seas.
