Don't you be July-ing to me!

How did August get here so quickly?  You might have noticed the sun setting just before you finish that hike or an extra blanket in the morning if you left the window open at night.  You might even look up to the mountains and see a dusting of white.  Unfortunately, these are all signs of August creeping in and summer starting to slip away.  Fortunately, August is one of the most fun months in town!  It is full of great events that bring our community together and make us proud to be Parkites!  

Below we have featured a handful of significant events coming up as well as a few local gems we appreciate. Kimball Arts Festival

From August 2^nd to 4^th enjoy the annual Kimball Arts Festival, featuring over 200 artists from twenty-eight states and three countries. Enjoy live music, food trucks and drinks to elevate your art experience as you walk down Park City’s Historic Main Street.  Parking will be limited so ride your bike or take the free public bus!

PARK CITY SONG SUMMIT

The Park City Song Summit 2024 will take place August 15^th to 17^th throughout various venues in Park City. The Summit was started from a passion for music and built as an immersive hangout in the beautiful mountains of Park City.  It offers audiences a chance to explore and celebrate the myth, inspiration, passion, and history of song with a group of musicians, creatives, songwriters, thought leaders, and industry pioneers.

The 17^th Annual Summit Challenge

On August 24^th the National Ability Center will sponsor the 17^th annual Summit Challenge.  The Challenge has a goal of raising $150,000, which will support over 30,000 experiences offered for adaptive recreation programs.  This road ride offers participants various routes to fit all types of experience levels, including a one-mile loop for families wishing to participate.  After the ride, both cyclists and spectators are invited to the event village for lunch, drinks, live music and fun!

Tickets are available for purchase and donations can be made via the NAC’s website here.  If you can’t make it out to participate, we encourage you to support a team for this incredible local adaptive nonprofit. For those of you unfamiliar with the NAC, they adapt to make recreation and outdoor adventures accessible to people of all abilities.
