Dear Friends,

Season's Greetings from Palm Springs!

It's an exciting time of the year with season kicking into high gear. Great local events like the Palm Springs Parade of Lights bring festive holiday cheer, Hollywood glamour will descend up on the Valley as the 28th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival kicks off as 2017 begins, and architecture lovers only have a few more days before tickets for the 2017 Modernism Week events go on sale.

I hope the holiday season and New Year finds you in good spirits and enjoying time with your family and friends. If I can be of service, please let me know.

Whether you are looking to buy or sell, I can offer the highest levels in real estate expertise and professionalism. Please contact me, and allow me to help guide you through that process.

MASTER DEVELOPER: PAUL TROUSDALE

TAHQUITZ RIVER ESTATES, PALM SPRINGS

Trousdale borrowed money from Bank of America to finance his projects. The scale of his loans raised suspicions from its CEO, A.N. Giannini, as his advances to Trousdale had reached over $8,000,000, although this only accounted for one fourth of the entire financing of Trousdale's real estate projects. In late 1946, Gianninni visited him in his office in Westwood Hills, as Trousdale had already borrowed $30 million and was asking for an additional $50 million. After his visit, Giannini granted Trousdale the additional loan.

Trousdale Construction built "two houses per day, seven days a week" and had three hundred houses under construction at any given time.

STONE VENEERS 101

The pharaohs capitalized on the beauty and strength of stone, overseeing the construction of architectural gems whose magnificence has endured into the modern age.

Fortunately for do-it-yourselfers, stonework has changed a great deal since ancient Egypt, and we no longer toil with monolithic blocks hewn from raw earth. Today, stone veneer is a lightweight and user-friendly option for home interiors and exteriors, and available in numerous colors and textures.
