Sun’s out, funs out!

June is here!  We made it past a long winter and while the temperatures might still be a little cool, the sun is out, and we are ready to enjoy a wonderful summer ahead.  There is so much to do throughout Summit County in the upcoming weeks that we have had a hard time isolating our favorite activities.  We have included a few of them below as well as our favorite fourth of July activities in case you would like to plan in advance!  Our featured property this month is a beautiful cottage in Promontory.  Instead of featuring just one development, we have included the link to the Wasatch Back Communities & Lifestyle online brochure.  It includes a synopsis of many of the towns, neighborhoods and developments.  After perusing it, please reach out if we can help with any of your real estate questions.

Golf in the mountains is always a treat!  

We are fortunate to have some amazing public courses in within a short drive of Park City.  Check out our short list of recommendations below.

Park City Golf Club – Located in the heart of Park City, this 6,800-yard, par 72 course is one of the premiere public golf courses in the area, and for good reason.  Along with the trees, streams and lakes, the views of the mountains are stupendous! 

Canyons Golf - Located in the heart of Canyons Village, this 97 acre, 6,246-yard, par 70 course provides challenges and fun for the whole family!

Soldier Hollow - Not far from Park City, Soldier Hollow in Midway UT offers two courses set at the site of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games cross-country skiing events. The Gold course is a challenging 7,598-yard par 72 and the Silver course is a more friendly and gentle par 72 of 7,719 yards. 

Wasatch Mountain State Park - Also located in Midway with two courses to choose from, Wasatch Mountain State Park offers the Rugged Mountain Course (par 72 and 6,942 yards) and the Lake Course (par 72 and 6,459 yards).  True to its name, the Rugged Mountain Course is the less forgiving of the two, but playing it, you might hit a birdie while watching wild turkeys run through the woods.

The Outlaw Golf Club at Hideout Canyon - This 9 hole golf course looks across the Jordanelle to towards Deer Valley and the snowy caps of Mount Timpanogos.  

Mountain Dell Golf Course - Located off of I-80 in Parley's Canyon, Mountain Dell includes two magnificent 18 hole golf courses.  The Canyon course measures 6,787 yards and is a par 72 course (73 for women).  The Lake course measures 6,709 yards and is a par 71 course.

Support Local!

Summer is the time for fresh produce and outdoor markets, and we are so lucky to have easy access to both. This year the Park City Farmer’s Market will be moving to the base of Park City Mountain Resort.  Be sure to head over on Wednesdays from 11am to 5pm and check out the local fare.  The Park City Silly Market is back and in full swing. Head to Main Street to enjoy this local-friendly event. 2024 SUMMER DATES - June 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, July 14 & 21, September 1, 8, 15, 22 from 10am to 5pm.  Oakley's Farmer's Market is held at Oakley City Hall.  The market starts in July and runs through August every Saturday from 10am to 1pm. The market features local products as well as live music and food trucks.
