May is here!  After a long winter (let’s face it, is it really even over yet?) we are excited about spring. Where to play in May!

 

While May might seem sleepy across the county, there is still plenty of fun to be had!  Tonight celebrate Cinco de Mayo.  On Main Street head to Tekila or Don Gallo. If you are a local, hit up El Chubasco, Sergio’s or Baja Cantina!  In the 98? - head to Loco Lizard or Billy Blancos.

 

Whether she is your mother, the mother of your children, the mother of your fur baby or just a source of motherly love, celebrate her this Mother’s Day!  Are outdoor activities her favorite pastime?  Brighton, Solitude and Snowbird will remain open for skiing.  Take a hike or go for a mountain bike ride on one of our infamous trails.  Does she love flowers?  Purchase her a bouquet from the locally owned Silver Cricket Floral Atelier or Lamb's Ear Floral Design or head down to Thanksgiving Point for the in-person Tulip festival.  Looking for a luxurious experience?  The Blue Sky Ranch is hosting an incredible weekend-long experience on Mother’s Day.  The Montage, the Pendry, Riverhorse on Main and Simon’s in Midway will all be hosting Mother’s Day brunches on May 17th.

 

From May 23-26th, head to Soldier Hollow for the Classic Sheepdog Championship and Festival.  Stop in Midway on your way home and enjoy some award-winning cheese at Heber Valley Artisan Cheese.  This local, family-owned dairy farm and creamery has received numerous awards for their delicious cheese.

PARK MEADOWS REMODEL

The beginning of April was prep time for the remodel we are following in Park Meadows.  With the help of local business owner, Valentin Mazars and his amazing crew at Frenchie on the Move, the last of the furniture was moved to storage, and the home was ready to begin its transformation (check out the before photos below).  If you are looking for reliable movers, contact Valentin at 208-541-8720 or valentin.mazars@gmail.com.  

Once the last of the furniture was moved out, the demolition team at Wasatch Demolition wasted no time getting in to take down the interior structure and preparing the home for the next steps in the remodel.  The photos above mirror the photos of the rooms below and were taken two weeks apart. Wasatch Demolition is a small business owned by local Jeff Little, they do much more than just interior demolition.
