Chicago Top Location for Global Real Estate

Global real estate investors and institutional firms should look at Chicago as an optimal long term investment, according to its ranking as one of the top five cities internationally by Schroders Global Cities Index. The index was determined by a number of factors including demographics, median household income, retail sales, gross domestic product, potential future growth, and local university rankings. 

Homeownership Rate Improves

The U.S. homeownership rate climbed to 63.7 percent in the second quarter, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. This number is a jump of nearly a percentage point from a year ago, when homeownership was at a 50-year low. The rate has steadily climbed since that time, signaling a reverse in course.
