Festival Season

Festival Season is postponed this year due to the COVID19 Pandemic. We've all had to learn new ways to be healthy and safe and to take care of business.  With all the negative fallout from the virus, there are so many positive things that are occurring.   Actor John Krasinski has created a youtube show to highlight examples across the country.  SGN (Some Good News), as the show is called, really IS good news.  Episode 2 is so uplifting.  I highly recommend everyone go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oilZ1hNZPRM and get a dose of this positivity!

Images during the Sequestration

There's very little we can do outside our homes during this period of isolation.  A saving grace for me has been to take daily long, scenic walks in various neighborhoods of Palm Springs. Following the CDC guidelines, wearing a mask and staying more than 6' from passers by, I've been treated to many wonderful sites and a friendly, distant greeting from those who are also out to take advantage of our lovely weather and beautiful surroundings.  Normally, we're rushing from here to there and don't notice so much of the beauty around us. Along with all the negative economic and health related issues we are all facing, we are able to have positive experiences as well. The images above are just a few that I've enjoyed viewing.

Indian Canyons Neighborhood

The Indian Canyons Neighborhood was developed in the 1960’s with architects including Palmer and Krisel and Stan Sackley designing homes, many of which were to surround what is now the Indian Canyons golf course. The original clubhouse on the north course was designed by Wexler and Harrison, and the south course clubhouse is a popular watering hole. The neighborhood is situated in a cove that is often referred to as the “wind free south end” of Palm Springs, with mountain views in all directions. The homes are close to the entrance to Palm, Andreas and Murray Canyons which attract visitors who want to hike, ride horses, meditate and enjoy the splendor of striking flora, and fauna such as Big Horn Sheep and deer.

Market Watch

This recent Market Report begins prior to the major shutdown.  There's a rapid drop in pending sales since our Governor's stay at home order.  The red line indicates where the blue line is expected to be 2 weeks after the publication of this report. As of this report, sales were averaging 28 units a day.  By April 17th they were expected to be under 20 units. Next month's report will indicate the actual data.
