Sweater late than never, October has a lot of fun events to offer!

October, probably one of the most spectacular months in Utah!  If we are lucky, the weather holds, and we have the most glorious days ahead, full of late morning sunshine and changing leaves!  The other side of the coin is we have an early snow and, while that might not be the easiest transition from summer, it means an early start to the ski season, more snow and more water for the upcoming summer ahead! Compared with August 2025, median prices within Park City Limits, Snyderville Basin and the Jordanelle Area have substantially increased in August 2026.  The number of both active and new listings in these same areas also continued to grow, inching us closer to our pre-COVID inventory levels of days past. Average days on market continue to be flat or decrease in the same areas.  See the link below for a summary of recent activity by neighborhood.

While we can't bank on an early ski season or epic proportions of snow this year, we can enjoy some eating and drinking of epic proportions in the month of October.  Dine-about returns for the whole month of October and gives locals and visitors alike the opportunity to experience a number of local restaurants at a reduced cost.  The Park City Wine Fest also returns, and the Rotary club again sponsors the shot-ski on Main Street.  While Halloween isn't until the end of the month, there are plenty of very spooky events leading up to the actual day.  Check out our list below and don't miss any of the fun!

Our featured properties this month continue to embrace the Park City lifestyle.  We have a stunning lot available in Golden Eagle featuring 270 degree views of the Uinta Mountains across Mount Timpanogos, the runs of Deer Valley and Park City, all the way to Grandview Peak.  This lot allows you to build your dreams, whether it be a new beginning or a mountain retreat.  Our second property is the ultimate in skier convenience!  Situated at the base of Park City Mountain Resort, this one-bedroom condominium offers steps to the mountain with covered parking.  Use it as a mountain retreat or an investment opportunity.  See below for more information on these two amazing properties.

FEATURED PROPERTY:

1963 E Peak View Drive, Hideout UT 84036

The Top of Golden Eagle

South-Facing, unobstructed 270-Degree Views!

Arguably offering the most panoramic vantage point in all of Park City, Lot 399 sits high atop Golden Eagle. This .56-acre homesite pairs a south-facing orientation with a true, unobstructed 270-degree panorama -- from the Uinta Mountains across Mount Timpanogos, over the runs of Deer Valley and Park City, all the way to the Grandview Peak. Thanks to the lot's elevated position, those views remain unobstructed from every level of your future home. Plenty of lots in this area claim big views; very few deliver them from every direction, on every level, all day, with the sun on your side. Lot 399 is also one of the most gradually sloped homesites on the street, with easy access to the building envelope -- translating to a simpler, more cost-effective build. Minutes from your door: miles of hiking and biking trails, multiple public golf courses, boating and fishing on the Jordanelle, the Uintas, and world-class skiing. For those seeking additional amenities and fitness, the newly opened Onyx Club is just a five-minute drive down the road and currently has memberships available -- 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art training space, a pool, sauna and steam room, member dining, and an active social calendar, plus a Deer Valley East ski shuttle. Some lots have a view. This one has all of them. Come stand on it and see for yourself. Contact us for more information today or click here for additional information and photos.

HALLOWEEN IN A SKI TOWN!

Halloween is one of our favorite times of year!  We are lucky enough to live in a town that opens up Main Street for kids to trick or treat, for adults to reconnect with old and new friends and for the dogs to come out and compete for best costume!  But it doesn't stop there. Below are some of our favorite spooky events to check out prior to and on Halloween!

Head to Heber for a ride on the "Heber Creeper", the historic nickname for the Heber Valley Railroad.  During October, you can enjoy a variety of spooky rides, such as the Pumpkin Train, Witches' Night Out-A Halloween Party Train, and the Halloween Express.  There is something for all ages.  Check out their calendar and book your reservation in advance here.

Head to the Egyptian Theater for a ghostly show.  Thriller by the Odyssey Dance Theater returns October 1st through October 7th. This spooky spectacular combines technical aspects of dance while paying homage to the stars of All Hallows' Eve.  Then from October 28th to November 1st check out the creepy Broadway/Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop of Horrors.

On Thursday, October 8th, from 6:30 - 8pm get spooky on the trails!  Join Summit Land Conservancy for Protected Trails & Haunted Tales - A  Moon Shine Adventure with Park City Ghost Tours.

There will be several scary lectures, all for free, on the following dates:

On Friday, October 30th, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, at Heber City Main Street Park, get ready for a sweet and spooky evening at Heber Halloween Fest! The evening includes free trick-or-treating, a carnival, spook alley, food trucks, entertainment, and much more.

On Saturday, October 31st, head to Historic Main Street Park City from 3-6PM for a unique community event. Bringing together two and four-legged costumed creatures, gourmet treats, and a few playful tricks, this event on main street will create an unforgettable celebration for everyone in your family.
