Volunteer Opportunity: There is a program thru the American Cancer Society call Road to Recovery: Rides to Save Lives. There are many patients who have no families or transportation to get to their treatments. The Cancer Society matches up volunteers with patients needing transportation. If you can help please call 800-227-2345 to volunteer and be screened for driving a patient.
Lightner Museum: After Hours Event will feature Blue Muse from 5:30 to 7:30 pm on May 25 in the museum's Grand Ballroom Gallery. They play wonderful jazz music. Food for the evening will be provided by Michael's Tasting Room. Café Alcazar will be open with a special dinner menu from 6 to 8 pm. The event is free to the public but donations are requested for beverages. For information go to LightnerMuseum.org
Memorial Day Events
There is a Memorial Day Observance at 10 am on May 29 at the St Augustine National Cemetery. It begins with the Ancient City Pipes and Drums and there are flags at each headstone. The observance includes the Fallen Comrade Tribute, speakers and ends with the playing of "Taps". Another event is done with the Pilot Club of St Augustine, however they need your help. Because of Hurricane Matthew they lost all their records and would like people to notify them of Veterans' names so they can start compiling a new list for their ceremonies.

Music by the Sea 2017
This annual summer music and food celebration features local bands and performers paired with local restaurants to entertain visitors and promote St. Augustine Beach.
"Gilded: Impressions of the Flagler Era," that celebrates the legacy of the Gilded Age in St. Augustine in a juried show from May 5 to May 28, 2017. The show will display the results of the Plein Air Paint Out event.
Tour Saint Augustine offer a free historic walking tour on the fourth Saturday of each month in 2017. This fascinating and educational tour take visitors through several blocks of historic St. Augustine.
