Always a timely topic, with myths running rampant about multiple offers and split second negotiations, a look at the 2019 market reveals changes that at times seem at odds with each other!  Our corporate statistician reports that the number of sales in 2019 may be down by about 8%, but the average price is UP to $201,183 from $192,501 in 2018, a 5% increase!

The average market time for homes in the greater Kalamazoo area is 1.5 months for home priced between $200,000 and $300,000, but an overloaded inventory caused the average days on the market for homes priced from $500,000 to $1,000,000 to stretch to nearly 6 months, and many homes in this price range remain on the market for longer.

Choosing an off-white paint can be tricky.  Undertones can work differently in sun or shade and shock you when they turn yellow, pink or gray!

Be sure to get samples of a number of shades and try them in large swaths on walls with different amounts of light.  Remember to label the samples so you can identify the name of the paint! Try putting the artwork you plan to hang near the paint sample, and if there are other whites in the room, test for compatibility.
