Quick fixes before selling nearly always pay off. Mammoth makeovers not so much, as you usually don’t get your money back. Get a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Clean the curtains or blinds, or purchase some inexpensive new ones. Replace door handles, cabinet hardware, and make sure closet doors are on track. Also be sure to fix leaky faucets and clean grout in your kitchen and baths.
